Julia has 15 years’ full-time experience responding regularly to RFPs issued by U.S. municipalities and State governments, as well as Canadian municipalities, provincial governments, and the Federal government of Canada via Merx.
Julia has 15 years’ full-time experience regularly responding to RFPs requiring content from multiple corporations or stakeholders. This has involved project managing international teams and content contributors, including professionals across Canada, the US & Puerto Rico, and intermittently in Europe, South America and beyond.
Julia holds an MBA and is well versed in financial terminology. She has worked closely with Sales Management, Complex Bid Managers, and CFOs to hone the financial component of numerous proposals.
Julia has worked closely with legal counsel and risk and insurance management team members on the majority of proposals she has completed over $1M in deal value. She understands that final proposal submissions need to meet her clients’ legal and insurance requirements, while achieving sales objectives.
Julia has 18 years of sales and marketing experience in roles of increasing responsibility. Prior to becoming a full-time Proposal Manager, Julia was a top-selling, award-winning Account Manager at AT&T and TELUS, where she gained extensive expeirence and training in telecommunications network and IT sales.
At DomainPeople and Webnames.ca, Julia held Business Management positions and grew these sales organizations with proposal activity and by developing an internet marketing sales force. She has over 10 years’ experience managing her own proposal consulting firm.
She has also completed the “Writing Winning Proposals and Executive Summaries” presented by Shipley and Associates, in a team environment with other Proposal Managers and Capture Managers across multiple industries, along with several other Shipley courses and APMP workshops. APMP is the international Association of Proposal Management Professionals.
Julia is a Canadian Citizen. There may be certain labour restrictions in terms of her ability to travel to and work within the United States, however she will work with organizations to determine the legal options.
